Liner Notes from the CD:
I knew that John would eventually make a recording, but I had no idea how much care he would take once he entered the studio. I should not have been surprised. In the almost 20 years I have known John, I have rarely known him to give less than his 100%. John is pure enthusiasm, yet he has never lost the delicate innocence that so endears him to me. He works hard, but he never loses his smile. When faced with challenges, he laughed, let go, and made the job lighter for all of us. And when he wasn’t in the studio he was in the kitchen cooking up a storm!
When I listen to the finished CD now, I am so proud of the work we have all done. When I play Door of my Heart, I smile knowing that this is a first take that neither Andrew nor I would allow John to replace with another version. It captures emotion, longing, and vulnerability as no other take could, and it is my favorite song on the album. When I hear Vic’s drum playing, I picture John in the studio dancing with joy, or tossing our dog Rio a ball in time to the beat. What fun we had together!
The CD you hold in your hand is love manifest as music. It is a gift. Here is my dear friend captured in a way most have never experienced. May it make you want to sing and dance. May it bring you joy.

My first memories of singing were as a small child in the car with my Dad. He would teach me songs and we would sing them together at the top of our lungs with the windows rolled down. I still can feel the joy of those times and how the music brought us together in that moment.
Music has been bringing me into moments like those ever since. This collection is designed to bring you into that same experience. Music has the power to take us out of our heads, into our hearts and to connect us more deeply to ourselves and to others. These songs come from a variety of times and places in my own life… some of them I’ve sung for decades and others I’ve learned more recently. They all have moved me deeply in one way or another, and have carried me again and again into the present moment.

Notes on the Evening
Guruji’s grace was omnipresent in the space this evening. The night began in honoring John Osborne and his release of “Present Moment,” a CD dedicated to The Art of Living Foundation. John and a band of 7 gifted musicians played through 7 or 8 songs of Divine Love. What a great way to kick of this special evening!!!! There was a vegetarian potluck filled with our favorite yummie foods all topped by the savory tantalizing flavors of Angie’s Grace, Love Inspired Foods. directly following John’s set was a brief meditation and then the beginning of open sharing, kicked off by Full Moon Rising singing a heartfelt Bajan to get the crowd in the space of openness. The night went on into the early morning hours, with share after share pointed in the direction of His Holiness, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. What a blessing. The night ended with a 30 minute knowledge tape by the master himself and a spirited verson of the Art of Living Birthday Song. Thank you to everyone who attended…what a crowd, what a night, what a blessing to be in the grace of this Divine Master. Happy Birthday Sri Sri!!!
